We won the Alan Turing AI Innovator Award at the National AI Awards 2025, one of the UK’s leading showcases for emerging technology.
The award recognises ground-breaking achievements in artificial intelligence that advances ethical innovation and real-world impact. For us, it is an acknowledgement of the work we have been doing to build conversational AI that is responsible, considered and built for people.
Co-founder Asa Burrows and Regional Director Kate Halsted accepted the award on stage, joined by Kelly Boosey, who has been part of the journey from the earliest days at SKC Studios.
For Asa, this recognition reflects the culmination of years of focused vision and leadership. His commitment to building AI experiences rooted in ethics, creativity, and care has shaped 1956 Individuals’ purpose from the beginning, and this award is a celebration of that.
This is our third major honour in recent weeks, and a strong affirmation of what the whole team has been working towards.
More information about the National AI Awards, including details about the Alan Turing AI Innovator category, can be found on the official event website.
