Cambridge, UK - Within just a few weeks, SKC Studios secured multiple awards, reflecting its growing influence as a leader in responsible and human‑centred AI. The company’s exceptional run of recognition culminated this month with the Alan Turing AI Innovator Award at the National AI Awards 2025, following successive wins at the West Suffolk Business Awards and Business Weekly Awards.
Named in honour of pioneering computer scientist Alan Turing, the AI Innovator Award recognises individuals or organisations making outstanding contributions to advancing artificial intelligence through groundbreaking research, impactful design, and visionary leadership. The distinction is reserved for innovators who embody Turing’s intellectual rigour and his pursuit of excellence in using AI for the greater good.
The judging panel praised SKC Studios’ groundbreaking work on 1956 Individuals - a multilingual AI platform that unites empathy, storytelling, and intelligence to create emotionally intelligent digital characters designed to improve operational efficiency and enhance customer engagement. The technology is already being developed for clients ranging from the Modality Partnership, which is transforming the first point of contact for NHS patients, to leading cultural destinations such as Bletchley Park and Leeds Castle, where reimagined AI avatars of historians and notable figures are giving visitors a new, interactive way to explore stories and access information.
Fergus Bruce, CEO of The National AI Awards, commended the recipients of this year’s awards:
“The public service category shows us what responsible adoption looks like at scale. This year’s winners have proven how thoughtful application of AI can strengthen communities, improve access to services, and build resilience where it matters most. In recognising their work, we honour those who ensure AI is not just powerful but purposeful.”
Babita Devi, Co-founder and Chief Commercial Officer of SKC Studios, said:
“This award represents more than recognition; it marks a defining moment for our company and a new commercial opportunity for the industry. Organisations everywhere are seeking responsible ways to innovate, and we are shaping a new category of AI that makes that possible. Our technology doesn’t just make interactions smarter; it drives measurable results through greater efficiency, deeper engagement, and real economic value. We are inviting forward‑thinking partners and early adopters to help build the next generation of ethical, enterprise‑grade AI solutions.”
The National AI Awards 2025, hosted by the BBC’s Zoe Kleinman at Adastral Park in Ipswich, celebrated the UK’s leadership in responsible AI advancement. Award categories this year included AI in Business, Education & Learning, Innovation & Safety, and Public Service, with winners selected for their impact in transforming industries through thoughtful AI adoption.
Earlier in the year, SKC Studios was Highly Commended for Innovation at the West Suffolk Business Awards, recognising its contribution to regional enterprise and creativity. The momentum began with the studio’s win in the AI Innovation Category at the Business Weekly Awards 2025 in Cambridge, where judges highlighted its “integrity‑led approach” to artificial intelligence.
Asa Burrows, CEO of SKC Studios, added:
“To be honoured across three different major award programmes this year is both humbling and energising. Each recognition reinforces our mission to humanise technology - to ensure AI connects us, empowers us, and reflects the best of what humans can create together.”
