Kate Halsted and Kelly Boosey at MAPIC Cannes 2025.
We were invited by the UK Department for Business and Trade to join the official UK trade mission at MAPIC Cannes 2025, the world’s leading international retail property market show. The event brings together around 4,000 global participants, for three days of exhibitions, keynotes, and collaboration focused on retail development, placemaking, and the future of consumer experiences.
A central theme at this year’s event was the growing adoption of experiential technologies across retail and public spaces, reflecting a growing demand for interactive customer journeys. This aligns closely with our mission, where our conversational AI avatars support retail, culture, and visitor attractions by transforming how people access information, navigate spaces and interact with brands.
MAPIC 2025 sparked inspiring discussions and fresh collaborations, demonstrating how technology, creativity, and placemaking can converge to reshape the way people engage with the world around them. The event highlighted strong interest in solutions that blend front-end engagement with powerful back-end integration, an area where 1956 Individuals is uniquely positioned to add value.
We would like to thank Barrie Harris, Rozmin Blatt, and Emma Jones at the Department for Business and Trade for their support and for making participation in the trade mission possible. Building on the momentum from MAPIC, the team looks forward to the next chapter of innovation in the global retail and placemaking landscape.
