We presented at InnovateX 2026, sharing how AI Queen Eleanor of Castile is transforming the visitor experience at Leeds Castle and how the same foundations power real-world service in other sectors.
Our session centred on one point: heritage and AI works when curatorial rigour meets operational intelligence. The result isn’t a “chatbot in costume”, it is conversational access to information through avatars that can also guide, act and integrate.
Three themes came through clearly in the room:
It is bigger than heritage. We spoke about our work with Modality Partnership to explore how our Conversational AI avatars with Integrated workflows can improve the GP appointment experience for patients and clinicians.
Accuracy & transparency matter. Attendees were particularly engaged when we talked about answers with clear provenance. They want interpretations they can trust and trace.
Real-world utility beyond conversation: wayfinding, multilingual support, workflow integration and practical services like check-ins, booking and much more - turning questions into outcomes.
We would like to thank Kelly Boosey our Head of Business Development (UK & Europe) and Dominique Bouchard from Leeds Castle for presenting the AI Queen Eleanor project with the room, and to Experience UK and the Science Museum Group for organising a forum that made space for honest, substantive discussion.
